| In 2000 | A newly constructed Hefeng (Amiable Wind) Building (for psychiatric inpatient wards), comprising a total of 74 acute beds for psychiatric patients that includes 30 new ones and 43 existing ones of A8 ward, was commenced under many audiences of local officials, dignitaries and residents. |
| In 2001 | The hospital was graded as a “Regional Teaching Hospital.” The hospital was approved as a “Specialist Doctors/Physicians Training Hospital” in the fields of General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics and Family Medicine by the Department of Health of the Executive Yuan. Completion of the “Construction Project of Surgical Operation Room, ICU, and Storage Site and Facilities of Wastes.” |

The hospital passed the Evaluation of Regional Hospitals and Teaching Hospitals conducted by the Department of Health of the Executive Yuan. The hospital was awarded a prize of National Bronze Medal and Best New Comer by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Circle of Taiwan Joint Commission on Hospital Accreditation. The hospital received an award for Excellent Medical Treatment Performance Institution on Prevention of Family Violence and Sexual Assault in 2005 by the Taoyuan County Government. The hospital was approved as Grade-A Medical Homecare Institution for 2005 and awarded a subsidy amount of NT$ 100,000 by the Department of Health of the Executive Yuan. |
