The Pediatric division provides excellent specialized health care for pediatric patients in Tauyuan. We have three full-time attending physicians whose sub-specialties include general pediatrics, pediatric neurology, pediatric neonatology, and pediatric immunology to provide daily outpatient and inpatient care for children. Dr. Be-Tau Hwang, the Director of the Pediatric Cardiology Department of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, also serves as a visiting physician, adding pediatric cardiology to our sub-specialties.
In addition to General Pediatric Clinic, our Well Baby Clinic provides scheduled and self-pay vaccination, growth and development assessment, early diseases screening, and parental consultations on feeding, teething, and nutrition, etc. The pediatric emergency room provides around the clock emergent pediatric services everyday of the year.
Our baby room has a fully trained and certified nursing staff, providing standard neonatal care. For those needing baby care consultations or services, we also provide self-pay nursery for babies up to three months old.
The Pediatric division also participates in research on pediatric medicine. We have had outstanding results on desensitization therapy for allergic diseases, the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, immunization against hepatitis B and other infectious diseases, and neonatal Kawasaki disease. |
